· Above all, is passionate about advocacy and understand the importance of mobilizing for change.
Dates of fall internship are approximately Oct. 1 to Dec before the holidays; dates are flexible. Please include these in your application. Winter Internship dates are approximately Jan 5 to March 31 (also flexible); application is due by Nov. 15 for this cycle. AMSA is unable to offer a stipend for interns at this time. AMSA does offer free housing near its headquarters in Washington, DC, and the AAO will have stipend support for expenditures on behalf of AMSA (travel to meetings, etc.) and for programming.

1. Cover Page that includes: Name, School (include year and area of study, if applicable), Dates available for internship, phone number & email (applicants will be contacted by email if selected)
2. A Cover Letter of no more than 800 words that includes:
- Required: A description of your interest and/or past experience in HIV/AIDS and/or global health issues and advocacy
- Required: An outline of either a specific project you would like to complete and/or the types of projects you are interested in creating
- Optional: Any personal goals you are hoping to achieve through this internship
3. Curriculum Vitae (or resume) Limit 2 pages for undergraduates and 3 pages for graduate students. Please DO NOT include MCAT, USMLE, ACT/SAT, etc. scores or GPA in your application.
